I have a confession to make: I’m a Netflix junkie. It’s true. I’ve always loved movies, but until two years ago, I didn’t even own a DVD player. Why, you might ask? Going to a video store was too much of a hassle…and they usually never had what I wanted anyway. Then, some geniuses came up with Netflix and I’ve been a happy girl eating my popcorn, watching my movies, documentaries, and foreign films! Aside from the great convenience of having movies delivered right to your door, what I LOVE the most is the HUGE variety of movies there are to choose from. There is truly something for everyone, including those gems from foreign countries that you would never find at your local video store.
There are many plans to choose from. I have the 3 At-A-Time Unlimited plan and I pay a little over $17 a month (that includes taxes). I average watching about 8-10 movies a month, so that comes out to about $1.75 a movie…not bad at all when they’re movies you really want to see and not something you settled for because there was nothing at the video store! Netflix also now offers an array of movies online to their customers. Since I pay $17 a month for my subscription, I’m then entitled to 17 hours a month of free online movies…how great is that?
They have distribution centers all over the country and depending on where you live, your turnaround for receiving movies can be quite fast. I’m a couple hundred miles from my nearest distribution center, so it can take 2-3 days before my returns are received and my next movie is sent. But if you live in a major city, you may be lucky enough to get turnaround in one day..and if you watch LOTS of movies, you could really get your money’s worth each month. I’ve never had a bad experience with Netflix and I’ve been a loyal customer for two years now. Now, quit thinking about maybe joining Netflix and take the leap!
