It’s once again time for my Friday frugal blogger round up….another Friday Walgreens coupon (again, good for today only)…and a few shopping deals
~ Christina, at Northern Cheapskate, blogged about her coupon organization crisis and how to best use the many coupons some of us acquire. For the longest time, I used to divide all my coupons up by category and carry them around in a standard envelope. I then began searching for a coupon organizer that would be small enough to carry in my purse all the time. Who knew these could be so difficult to find? I couldn’t find one anywhere, not even Wal-Mart. But then I discovered that The Coupon Clippers carries a nice selection of coupon carriers at reasonable prices. Go have a look-see at The Coupon Clippers if you’re inspired to get those coupons organized!
~ Linsey blogged about getting sale prices on items after the “big sale” has ended. Check out some useful tips on how you can claim your savings anyway. (@ Wise Bread)
~ SavvyFrugality reminded us that there are times when a downgrade is really an upgrade. It’s true…some times the newer things aren’t better, just more costly. (@Savvy Frugality)
~ Patrick offered up some practical financial advice for the high school graduate to get them started on the right path. This is sound advice for everyone really. (@ Cash Money Life )
* Walgreens has another coupon out for $5 off of $20 that is good for today, Friday the 13th, only.Walgreens Coupon.
* Do you enjoy reading the USA Today? I pick up the Friday edition on occasion, but I’m considering subscribing to their introductory subscription offer, where you can get a full 8 weeks for $14. This is cheaper than my local newspaper subscription (and that’s for only the Friday-Sunday editions).
* One of the things I love about Drugstore.com is the huge variety of beauty and bath products that they carry. Right now, through 6/24, ALL shoppers, not just new customers, at Drugstore.com can get FREE shipping when they spend $25. Have a look around at their special offers as there’s always free products available with select purchases….such as the offer below.
* The Discovery Channel recently premiered their new NASA series to honor the 50th anniversary of NASA. In fact I just read that this Sunday’s episode is NOT to be missed! Right now, you can purchase the entire NASA series with FREE bonus DVDs, plus get FREE shipping, all for one great price. As I mentioned earlier with the Father’s Day bundle special, you could always sell your bonus DVDS (if you don’t want/need them) on eBay or use them as gifts…either way, this makes for a sweet deal
The Father’s Day bundle special that I mentioned a few weeks ago has been extended and is still available…and is still an amazing deal.
* There’s still time to save 15% off of one item at Barnes & Noble. This offer is good through 6/15. Use the following code to knock 15% off: N4X8E8D
You can also take advantage of their DVD Sale – Buy 2, Get the 3rd Free , going on now through 6/30. Remember…shipping is FREE when you spend $25
* Any Pfaltzgraff collectors here? I’ve collected pieces of the Naturewood pattern off and on over the last few years. I’ve always found the best deals in their Clearance where you can get up to 80%. You never know when they’re going to add a special piece from your pattern, so it pays to check in every once in a while. They do have the following specials running right now as well.
* There’s still a pretty good selection of clearance items over at Fashion Bug…plus through 6/18, you can save an additional 15% off your order when you shop through the banner below.
