On Saturday, May 12th, letter carriers in more than 10,000 communities will collect food items and deliver them to local food banks to help some of the millions of Americans, including an estimated 16.7 million children, who face hunger every day.
Since 1993, families have donated nearly 1 billion pounds of food to Stamp Out Hunger. You can help make this year the most successful ever. Simply place bags filled with nonperishable food items like canned meats, fish, soup, juice, vegetables, pasta, cereal, and rice next to your mailbox on Saturday, May 12th. Your letter carrier will pick up the bags and deliver them to your local food bank.

Starting today, in place of running a daily deal, DealPulp, is running a fundraising event to to help fight hunger this Christmas season. This isn’t the first time that the fine folks over at DealPulp has reached out to help charity groups. To me, Christmas is all about giving…. and giving to those less fortunate is a great place to start.
