If you’re like me and find yourself mailing several packages to family and friends for Christmas, it may not be a bad idea to compare shipping costs among all the available carriers. I’ve always used the USPS….it’s the closest to me and just what I’ve always used.

I recently discovered a great website though which allows you to compare your shipping costs across multiple carriers, all at once, without having to visit each website individually…how great is that? Compare USPS, FedEx, USPS, etc. and see how much you can save. Check it out for your holiday shipping this year.

Affordable Health Care Options

by Julie on December 5, 2007

Several years ago, when I was in need of a short-term health insurance policy, eHealthInsurance is where I went. Their site is easy to navigate and so simple to use. They offer everything from individual and family insurance, to small business health insurance, to dental insurance. They give you instant quotes from a long list of established, reputable insurance companies. You won’t have the annoyance of waiting for a representative to phone you back with quote information, it’s all right there. If you choose to go with a plan, you then complete an application right there for that specific provider. There’s so many options and rate plans, why not have a look around?

How much should you be saving on Health Insurance?

Frugal Shopping 101

by Julie on November 28, 2007

If you’re reading this, chances are you enjoy spending time on the computer. The internet has opened a whole new world for frugal online shoppers. It goes without saying just how much the internet has impacted our lives. Think back to the good ol’ days when you wanted to make a major purchase AND you wanted to get the best deal possible. Chances are you did a lot of driving from store to store or dialing on the phone. Now, the internet affords us great deals right at our fingertips. I purchase many items on online. When I have the option of many online retailers for a product, I ALWAYS do a price comparison to find the absolute, rock-bottom deal. There are several websites that allow you to do a quick price comparison for your desired product. My favorite is Shopzilla.

You simply type in what you’re looking for and voila!….instant pricing and shipping information for that item. Those of you who already use price comparison websites already know how using these resources can save you money.
